Onto better things

I know you have all been anxiously awaiting Mexico pictures, and I know I'm a LAME-O, but I decided to take the plunge (dive? jump? cannon-ball?) into the NEW blog. It will be better I promise. So here it is. Change it in your favorites (if you actually care to follow-up -- no blaming you if you don't want to) because I don't think we are coming back very soon... or ever. But I'll probably keep this alive for "archiving" purposes.

OLD BLOGGER

So unfortunately upon trying to figure out how to redefine my blogger I found out that I think I have a really old version of blogspot. When I went to update it I didn't even have the tab to go to to find the button to update the page (IF that made sence -- I'm thinking probably not) in short I'm thinking it might just be easier to create a new page. I haven't decided just yet (thus the created page with the same name but nothing in it) but if any of you have any insight you should let me know. I would really like to keep my URL, but alas I am tired of the old-old version of blogger. Anyway IF I do indeed change over it will be to itstruscott.blogspot.com (apparently I like the "its" factor) but you will probably still be able to access my old page if you so choose to view pictures or whatever... OR I might just delete it out of disgust. It's kind of hard to see all the cutsie pages and look my LAME-O one :) anyway.. ONWARD! Thanks to all who read this blog. I kind of feel special.

EXCUSES

I know I know I know. I said I was "Taking over" and "revamping" this blog and what do I do? I abandon it completely. I feel like I have an excuse or two. I also feel really guilty becaue I haven't posted Mexico pictures yet and I have this preconceived notion that I can't post ANYTHING until I get it up. BUT I'm trying to break the trend here! Not like anyone reads my blogs anyway. haha. So we got back from Mexico March 1st and March 3rd I was sick. NO no not that kind of sick. Like I wore myself out kind of sick. It was like a pesky cold. I was groggy, couldn't sleep, congested and miserable, but it seemed to subside so I did nothing about it. Then Zac got sick (one of those "viral" things) so I focused on him, then last week (or whenever Friday the 14th was) something HIT me like a ton of bricks. I went to work thursday and pretty much sat in my chair miserable ALL day (people told me later that I looked really bad.. why later?) so I called in sick friday and tried to take it easy. But I was anxious, so I went to JoAnns and bought fabric and spent the day with my sister sewing. THAT's what I really wanted to blog about. I've been sewing lately.. I just LOVE to sew -- as evidence to the capitalizing of the word love -- and lately I've really been hankering to just sew! I finished Willamina's blessing dress (I think it turned out marvelous) I'll probably post a picture later when I'm home. and then my mom had some extra fabric from this cute blanket she made and last night I whipped up this cute little summer dress with a matching hat.. OH SO CUTE! All for little Willamina. (Amy's going to kill me when she finds out I'm actually calling her baby Willamina, but I have to call her something!) OH! And I made some burp cloths for Amy's last shower that I think turned out great! I wish I knew how to put links into my posts, because I would show you where I get all these great ideas. It's my new fav blog http://www.homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/ she has some great tutorials and I just love her style. Anyway so I guess you could say I'm putting my new serger to good use. OH and I'm STILL sick! I mean, for heaven's sake... it's like one thing after another. Now I'm suffering from some mix between sinus pressure or allergies... haven't figured it out yet..

One more thing and I'll put this lame post out of it's misery. Zac is really just the best husband (gag if you must) I just love his guts. Easter he suprised me with this BEAUTIFUL flower arrangment complete with "Easter drawings" on the card ( a bunny and a chick I think). The best part? He picked all the flowers and arranged it himself -- such talent. I'll take a pic and post it later, with everything else I've been talking about. PLUS to make me love him more. I really wanted to make him a basket to suprise him for Easter... we hadn't talked about doing gifts, so I thought I was being sneeky, but like I said I've been busy, don't have a car when he's at work and whatever excuse makes me not doing the basket justified.. Well! He apparently had the same idea and suprised me with an easter basket Sunday morn. Complete with some random toys, filled plastic eggs (that i used for sharing time the same day -- yay for procrastination!) aaaaand that's right! a staple gun that I have been begging for for some time.. Yes a staple gun.. You never know you need one until you need one. And that ends this miserable babbling post.. Until later! Ciao

OK GANG!! It's official. We are going to Mexico! Woot Woot. The trip is shorter than planned, but in the end I think it will be just great. We leave the end of this month February 27 and return that Sat March 1st, so it will be short and sweet, but I am still excited. For those who don't know: Zac and I are going to Mexico with a humanitarian group and Optometrists to give glasses and eye meds to the people down there. Zac is practicing his Spanish skills and I will just be there to help. We are both really excited and feel this is an opportunity of a lifetime! And then when we get back we'll have some pictures to show off. Bien!

Taking OVER!

Ok Fam! Now that we are starting to really "dig our heels into" this blogging thing I am taking over this blog and revamping it. Zac created this blog when he got home from his mission to show family, living all over, pictures of what he was up to. Well now that one is two, I'm revamping the site and am going to start blogging more. It's just such a great way to communicate and share memories. Especially when family is so far away. I look forward to seeing all of my friends' and families' blogs, an I hope you enjoy ours too. This can bring people together. "I love technology. But not as much as you you see. But I still love technology, always and forever... Always and forever" (sorry to those who actually know what that is and now have a certain annoying song stuck in your heads) Anyway.. To the FUTURE, and failing so we can learn to "Keep moving forward!" (If you haven't see Meet the Robinsons, then you have to. It's such a great show!)

Wedding!

It only took us a year to put them up. For those who couldn't be there, it was BEAUTIFUL, and the best day we could have imagined for us.
